Fresh Picked Vintage

Hi y’all!

I’ve got some Junker Newbie news to update you on so I thought there’s no time like the present!

In some of my recent blog posts I asked you all to weigh in on my blog name (Junker Newbie) and shop name (Allie’s Antics) and even dropped a hint about it changing. I was wondering if it was confusing that they are different, lots of folks think my name is Allie (it’s Stephanie, Allie is our old dog), etc.

After giving it a LOT of thought, I’ve decided to rebrand everything – my blog and my booths. The new name will be…Fresh Picked Vintage!

I hope you like it. I did a lot of brainstorming, getting opinions from friends, checking to see which URLs were taken, and really love the name. To me it’s all about taking what’s old and/or no one wants and making it new again so I love the play with words that it’s fresh but vintage.

I’m SLOWLY making the change across everything I have. I will not change the name of this blog until I move it to WordPress. Yes friends, I’m going to make the move to WordPress and am planning to do it myself. Hang on to your hats! When it’s time to switch over I’ll give you ample warnings so you won’t be alarmed if you come here one day and it’s all a mess!

I did go ahead and change the name on Facebook. I’m happy to say I am now the proud owner of a MUCH easier Facebook URL – http://www.facebook.com/freshpickedvintage. If you haven’t already, I would love it if you would go check it out and “like” me. I do update it fairly often…

Oh one more thing…I would LOVE to meet you all so if 1) you are going to the Annie Sloan tour event in Atlanta and/or 2) you are attending the Haven conference in June and/or 3) you are ever in the Greenville, South Carolina area please let me know!

Anyway, that’s about it in a nutshell. Thank you all for coming on this journey with me! So much goodness has happened in the last year!

I just found your blog and love it! I love all of your "junk". I'm going to have to stop by your little shop sometime, especially since I am so close (Spartanburg to be exact!) Look forward to all the new changes and following along!

I love it Stephanie!! I think because I have followed you from the beginning I wasn't confused but I can see where it would be. My name is confusing, is it Karen or Sue or KarenSue? But I can't really change that..hehe.
You are just so smart to do this on your own, I'm impressed! I think I'm at my limit of computer knowledge..haha. I have my Would YOu Buy It? Wednesday ready, I will link later…
Don't be surprised if I stop in sometime for a visit when I'm there visiting my Dad in Saluda or my brother in law in your area!!

I think that your new name choice is a clever choice! Descriptive and easily understood of what your style is! Can't wait to see the new changes.
