1000 Here We Come!

I’ve had my mom and grandmother (she turns 90 in a couple weeks) visiting for the past week. It has been wonderful! One day we went and met cousins my grandmother hasn’t seen in over 60 years! The next day we met her old friend and roommate from business school that she also hasn’t seen in over 60 years. So amazing to watch everyone’s faces and hear old stories!

So I haven’t exactly been focused on Fresh Picked Vintage. But I hope now you understand why. :-)

Yesterday I happened to look at my Facebook page though and found I have passed 900 Facebook likes! Woot Woot!

I’m so excited I’ve decided to have a giveaway. Not sure what it will be yet but something good…something from my vintage stash perhaps? or some painted frames? oooh or maybe some of my vintage sheet music ornaments and a sample package of glass glitter? hmmmm…

How to enter? Simply make sure you’ve liked my Fresh Picked Vintage Facebook page and then leave me a comment in this post to let me know you’re entering. That simple! Want an extra entry? Share my Facebook page link via your blog or Facebook etc. and let me know you’ve done so.

I’ve got a ton of projects in the works so you’ll be hearing more from me soon!

Hugs,

Stephanie

Fresh Picked Vintage

Hi y’all!

I’ve got some Junker Newbie news to update you on so I thought there’s no time like the present!

In some of my recent blog posts I asked you all to weigh in on my blog name (Junker Newbie) and shop name (Allie’s Antics) and even dropped a hint about it changing. I was wondering if it was confusing that they are different, lots of folks think my name is Allie (it’s Stephanie, Allie is our old dog), etc.

After giving it a LOT of thought, I’ve decided to rebrand everything – my blog and my booths. The new name will be…Fresh Picked Vintage!

I hope you like it. I did a lot of brainstorming, getting opinions from friends, checking to see which URLs were taken, and really love the name. To me it’s all about taking what’s old and/or no one wants and making it new again so I love the play with words that it’s fresh but vintage.

I’m SLOWLY making the change across everything I have. I will not change the name of this blog until I move it to WordPress. Yes friends, I’m going to make the move to WordPress and am planning to do it myself. Hang on to your hats! When it’s time to switch over I’ll give you ample warnings so you won’t be alarmed if you come here one day and it’s all a mess!

I did go ahead and change the name on Facebook. I’m happy to say I am now the proud owner of a MUCH easier Facebook URL – http://www.facebook.com/freshpickedvintage. If you haven’t already, I would love it if you would go check it out and “like” me. I do update it fairly often…

Oh one more thing…I would LOVE to meet you all so if 1) you are going to the Annie Sloan tour event in Atlanta and/or 2) you are attending the Haven conference in June and/or 3) you are ever in the Greenville, South Carolina area please let me know!

Anyway, that’s about it in a nutshell. Thank you all for coming on this journey with me! So much goodness has happened in the last year!

Hi folks!

How’s everyone’s weekend so far? Just wanted to check in real quick today.

First, I wanted you to know my mom is doing well after her surgery. We’re hoping she can come home tomorrow but if not hopefully Monday. Thanks for all of your well wishes!

Also, don’t forget about Would You Buy It! The deadline to submit a link or “like” one of the current links is midnight Sunday. We’ve got some great stuff linked up so far, go check it out!

Lastly, I joined a fun Facebook linky party today! Come over and check out the wonderful folks and link up your own page.

Have a great rest of your weekend and I’ll be back to chat soon!

Things Are Lookin’ Different

Hi guys…just wanted to update you on a couple things today.

First, see those pretty colorful buttons on the right side of my page? Yep, they’re new! Thanks to Moxie Tonic on Etsy for making those! She has great prices on buttons right now so go check them out.

I also redid my Allie’s Antics Facebook page this weekend. I wasn’t happy with the way I set it up initially so hopefully this will be better. Please go check out my page and be sure to “like” it so you receive my updates! Oh, and when you head over there, take note of the “welcome” page you land on – I made that all by myself this weekend – yep little old me. :-)   If you guys are interested in learning more about that, perhaps I’ll do a tutorial soon, let me know. In case you’re wondering, Allie’s Antics is the name of my store (booth, Etsy, etc.).

I hope you are all enjoying your holiday weekend!
