A few random updates today. Please stay with me!
First things first. I just about fell out of my chair a few minutes ago. Did you know I have over 300 follower now? I didn’t! The last I checked I had 270 or so and now I have 301! woot woot! This calls for a celebration! Not sure what though…will need to think about that.
About a week ago I found a NEW source for cool stuff! There’s a company in town that buys & sells estates (kind of like Cash & Cari). Anyway, they have a warehouse FULL of stuff and more coming in all the time. I filled my car with furniture for $70! The items include a childs rocking chair, an adult rocking chair, a couple of “farm fresh” side tables, a produce crate, some sheet music, a stool and I can’t even remember what else!
While I was at the sale, I fell in love…with a sideboard. It was another “farm fresh” item complete with tons of dirt and cobwebs. Let me just say – I rarely fall for a piece like this. I find stuff I like, fix it up and usually have no problem selling it. But this piece I knew would be FOR ME. I took pictures and went home to show the hubby and measure my space. Then on Monday morning I called them and asked if the sideboard was still there…and it WAS! I went immediately to pay for it and arranged to pick it up later in the week. Here it is in it’s farm fresh dirty goodness…
Isn’t it awesome? Oh, and the original mirrors were in one of the drawers. Yeehaw!
So, in other news…Ice is my new best friend. No, not for my mojitos or sweet tea, for my back. All the painting and furniture moving I’ve been doing finally caught up with me and my back started hurting last week. I decided to go to a Chirpractor (for the first time in my life) and after doing x-rays found out my back is a mess. I have discs going directions they shouldn’t be. So…I’m now going a few times a week for adjustments and physical therapy. I’m telling you all this because 1) I’m sharing a big of myself here folks! and 2) so you will understand why my projects are coming a little slower than usual. I’m frustrated because I have several items started (like cleaning that sideboard) but I just cannot lean over that much.
